• Management of Web development projects for company's Intranet and Extranet.
• Management of external contractors (developers). Overseeing the development activity and organizing the necessary processes and frameworks: source control, documentation, coding practices etc.
• Administration and maintenance of company's Intranet. Introduced cross-browsers compatibility, streamlined the collaboration with the various owners of Intranet content.
• Hands-on development in ASP.Net. Conversion of the Orange and T-Mobile Intranets to be cross-browser compatible.

06/2002 - 10/2006: Proteusworld.com

Working as freelancer on high-level projects for customers in Western Europe and USA, throughout the entire lifecycle: requirements analysis, development, implementation etc. Achieved close to 100% customer retention rate. Some projects:

• Developed a complex Web-based system (PHP, Ajax, Linux, MySQL; 175,000 lines of code) for remote monitoring and control of large numbers of computers for a Belgium company. Other features: ticketing/issue tracking, reporting (WordML, XSL/XSLT, PDF), work time billing, cost analysis, Microsoft Exchange integration (WebDAV). The monitoring agents are developed in Delphi (Windows) and Python (Linux). XML is used for communicating with the agent and with the ERP system.

• Developed a C#/.Net application for migrating user accounts, mailboxes, calendars and address books from Teamware Office to Microsoft Exchange. WebDAV and CDOEX are used for interfacing with Exchange. Project size: 20,000 lines of code. Used by Prodata Systems Belgium at EU Council (multi-server phased migration, 5,000 accounts) and by TripleP Netherlands at Rijndam Revalidatiecentrum (550 accounts).

• Created an e-commerce system (PHP, Linux, MySQL; 27,000 lines of code) for www.ohanasoftware.com, featuring an extensive administrative interface for managing most aspects of the business.

• Developed DotComBlitz, a modular Web application (PHP, Linux, MySQL; over 20,000 lines of code) with features including: searching expired and soon to expire domains, search engine positioning, domain names commerce etc. It also implements a custom "multi-threading" system for parallelizing processing tasks. A central domain names repository has also been developed, which stores and processes some million domain names daily.

• Contract work with CNCS Ltd. Barbados for developing new modules for Achievo, a PHP application for project management and work time tracking.

• Enhancement of the Cicerone XML-based news delivery system (PHP) for Olliance Group.

• Consulting and implementation of Linux and Teamware groupware systems for customers such as: Clearvision-CM UK (www.clearvision-cm.com), CIP Tramelan (Switzerland), Belgium Railways etc.

• Development of various Java and PHP tools for processing XML data from the Teamware Office mail, document management and forum systems, and for exporting data to external systems (e.g. Outlook and Exchange mailboxes). Customers: Fujitsu Invia AB (Sweden), Perfect Communication (Denmark), RW Consult (Germany) etc.

• 3rd line technical support and consulting for groupware and workflow solutions on Windows, Linux and Solaris platforms, working with high profile customers like Belgium Navy, Belgium Railways, NORD/LB Bank etc.

• Validation project for the release of the Teamware wokflow platform. Testing integration scenarios with Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and Sybase.

• Initiated and completed projects for the integration of third party SSL encryption systems (OpenSSL, Stunnel) and mail systems (Sendmail, Qmail) with the company's groupware server: www.proteusworld.com/teamware/documentation.
